Undisturbed

Painted in a secret meadow in Yellowstone along the drive between Jackson and Cody Wyoming, this pond represents so much of what I love about the wild places of the Rocky Mountains, and of Yellowstone. Great tannic ancestors of Yellowstone trees mingle in reflection only for a few months in summer and the stillness of fall. Earlier in the summer, a pair of Wood Ducks nested in this pond, and as with all things, they, or a part of them would make an appearance again in spring.
