A Welcome Sight
The surest sign of a return of spring in the Texas Hill Country is the first appearance of the Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher. Spotting the first one is cause for celebration, as the legendary blooms of wildflowers in this part of the world are always soon to follow the arrival of these beautiful birds. This was painted from a small quiet road near our home in Fredericksburg, Texas.
