Oil Painting Quiet Backwater

Quiet Backwater
Painted in the meadows in front of a house belonging to an old friend, this quiet cutthroat spawning bed is a favorite bend of Fish Creek, north of Wilson Wyoming. This piece is the story of early fall when the air is a little smoky and changing, the grasses have already dried, and a family of ducks, all nearly adults by then, paddling beyond the bend interrupting my love of stories reflected in slow moving water.
