Oil Painting Along the Snake River

Along the Snake River
Not many know that the road running along the banks of the Snake River in Jackson Hole was once used as the main place of travel.  As the speed of things has changed, two tracks are now all that remain, travelers mostly trotting coyotes and migrating elk.  Cottonwoods are my favorite trees to paint.  Thriving in tough Rocky Mountain climates, their iconic structure and movement speak to me of places I love, and none are more grand than those watching the passage of time from along the banks of the Snake River.
